What a report does
A report gives the project a lead to review. It does not guarantee that a tree will be researched, visited, documented, sampled, identified, DNA tested, preserved, propagated, published, or offered for sale. Plantaera Biotech may accept, decline, prioritize, edit, archive, or remove project material at its discretion.
Contact about your report
By submitting a report, you authorize Plantaera Biotech to contact you about that submission and tree, including its receipt, questions, review, possible visits, and project findings. The separate tree-update and general-communication choices control optional updates. You may change either optional preference at any time by replying to a project email or contacting us.
Property access and collection
Submitting a report does not authorize Plantaera Biotech—or anyone else—to enter property, inspect a tree at close range, collect fruit or plant material, or perform testing. If a tree moves forward, any visit or collection will be arranged separately with the person authorized to approve it. These participation terms do not replace a later site-visit, collection, or material agreement.
Information and material you submit
Please submit information you believe is accurate and photographs, stories, or other material that you created or have the right to share. Do not submit another person's private contact information without their agreement. You retain any copyright you own in submitted material.
By submitting material, you give Plantaera Biotech a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, organize, and review it for the project. If you authorize public sharing through the form or a later confirmation, that license also includes editing for clarity or format and displaying the authorized material through the project website, catalog, educational materials, presentations, and project communications. You may contact us to change a publication preference, although material already distributed or incorporated into an archival record may not always be fully retractable.
Privacy and public sharing
Your publication choices guide what may appear in the public catalog. Personal contact information is handled according to the Privacy Notice. Plantaera Biotech may withhold, edit, or remove submitted material for privacy, safety, accuracy, property protection, or appropriate moderation.
No compensation or ownership interest
Unless Plantaera Biotech agrees otherwise in writing, submitting a report or other material does not create a right to payment, reimbursement, royalties, cultures, plants, testing, laboratory results, or an ownership interest in project records, research, cultures, propagated plants, or future products. Any different arrangement must be made separately in writing.
Age and responsible participation
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to participate with you. Do not trespass, enter unsafe structures, climb hazardous trees, or disturb property while gathering information for a report.
Questions or changes
For a question about these terms or a submission you made, email Sage.Monast@plantaerabiotech.com. Plantaera Biotech may update these terms as the project develops; the current version and update date will remain available on this page.
